That's fantastic!

Janet is also doing well! 6 months post transplant. Everything came out clean last two sets of blood work.

Pre- and post-transplant M-spike was 0.2 g/dL, took about 60 days to drop to zero even though both bone marrow biopsies actually came out minimal residual disease (MRD) negative. Currently on 10 mg Revlimid.

Best wishes to everyone!

Webeku, I wish your husband good luck with his transplant. During this phase of my husband's transplant, we just took it one day at a time.

Mark, I hope you are getting along well.

Thanks everyone for the congrats! You guys are such a help to me during this time.

So glad to see that all is going so well! I have one more chemo treatment and then the doctor's review of where I am at! Your story has given so much hope!

Have a wonderful time on your 25th in those mountains! I may be in the transplant process during my 40th anniversary in November. But I'll celebrate after!

Thanks for all the congrats from everyone!

Today he started his CyborD consolidation treatments. He took his dex and cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) this morning, then he will leave work a little early and go to clinic and get his Velcade injection.

During induction they gave his Velcade titrated in an IV over about an hour due to his kidney issue upon diagnosis, but now that his kidneys are strong again, his doctor is allowing the Velcade in injection form. My husband is glad about this – quick in and out and no IV starts. They always had trouble getting a vein for the IV and he dreaded that each week.

He had no ill effects from this regimen for induction except to feel better, so we are not anticipating any with the three-month course. He even slept well with the dex. He would feel a little blah on day four after the dex was leaving his system and the cyclophosphamide made things last funny for a day or two, but that was it.

Just a quick update. His consolidation treatment is going well. He continues to feel great and all his labs are well within normal range, except this hemoglobin is just a little low at 12.9. We are off to the Smoky Mountains Wednesday for a much needed getaway. We feel very blessed. He has come so far since a year ago. :D

We had a good trip, except I came down with a head cold the morning we left, so that was a bit of a bummer, but it was still nice to get away. It was a fast trip to the mountains for us as we usually stay a week, but we plan on going in May for our usual week. This was just a fix to get us till then. He continues to do well. We are blessed.

I just wanted to check in. My husband is doing really well. He has one more month of consolidation therapy and then on to maintenance, a Velcade injection every two weeks. We had a good Thanksgiving. Much to be thankful for this year! :D A lot has happened in a year and it has been rough at times, but what a difference a year can make! I hope all of you had a good holiday as well.
