At this point I think my dad is leaning towards a decision against an autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT).
I read on another thread that you are preparing for your ASCT in Hamilton. Best of luck.

My dad's haematologist has directed the nurse not to inject my dad with Velcade (bortezomib) this week due to his ongoing leg pain issues. He will meet with his haematologist next week. I might go with him.

Well, we met with haematologist today and there was some good news. My dad's kappa/lambda ratio has gone down to 1.26.
They will resume Velcade tomorrow and see how the leg pain issues go, and they are paying attention to the anger issues as well.

The Lyrica / Cymbalta combo, once he has taken it long enough to have effect, has done well to control my dad's pain. Last weekend was the best I've seen him since before the cancer hit.

More good news. My dad's hematologist said my dad has achieved a complete response.
The doctor is stopping Velcade for this week to see if it is the culprit in my dad's face flushing / discomfort side effect.
