Diagnosed in Aug/2012, three rounds of RVD then a stem cell transplant in Jan/2013. I was very reluctant to do the transplant but my doc convinced me it was the best long term solution. Prior to SCT my m-spike was .6 my light chains 21. After transplant there was no change in my numbers. Been on maintenance Revlimid (10mg) for 5 months now and my m-spike is .3 and my light chains are 7. Doc tells me its the transplant still working for me but I'm not sure about that. Maybe the Rev maintenance doing it.
The folks at the transplant center told me its pretty typical for most patients to not get to a CR (m-spike of zero) and carry an elevated m-spike during their remission period. Of course a m-spike over zero indicates that the cancer is still present which is never a good thing in my mind. Jerry.

Re: Where's your M-spike hover?
Jerry,
My husband's transplant was 2 years ago. He stayed at .3 for a year after, then got down to .1 for 2 months. He's now slowly creeping up, but has been at .7 for the last 3 months. He's been on Velcade since transplant. They added Rev. back in 2 months ago.
