I was diagnosed about 10 years ago. The doctor then told me he told his patients he could give them 3-5 years. He said that wouldn't make me so happy since I was fairly young to get it.
I am on 10 years now, and although I have lots of pain and some problems with mobility, I don't plan on dying any time soon. Just have to say that we learned while going through a zillion military doctors all that had different ideas, that God numbers our days – not the doctors or the disease.

December was 5 years for me. Nothing worked very well. Stem cell transplant lasted 2 weeks, numbers went back up. Went on a trial 14 months ago – panobinostat is trial drug, plus Revlimid and dex. Has worked great. M-spike is 0. Let's hope cure is coming for all of us.

I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in February 2017. I went to the hospital for a cough and learned after multiple tests that I had multiple myeloma and my kidneys had stopped working. My health is getting better; I have to have patience and let dialysis and the medicines work.
