This week's Myeloma Beacon “Weekly Polls” are about support group attendance among myeloma patients' caregivers and family members. This one is about how helpful caregivers find support group meetings. A second poll is about how often caregivers attend support group meetings:
https://myelomabeacon.org/forum/weekly-poll-caregivers-and-support-group-meetings-t1518.html
As usual, there are a few clarifications.
First, this question is for caregivers and family members of people who have any kind of myeloma (e.g., smoldering or symptomatic) or MGUS. Thus if you are a myeloma patient, please answer on behalf of your caregiver or most relevant family member.
We have already done a similar poll about how helpful myeloma patients find support group meetings:
https://myelomabeacon.org/forum/weekly-poll-how-helpful-are-support-group-meetings-t1485.html
Second, when answering the poll, please consider whether you were able to meet other myeloma or cancer patients and caregivers, benefited from sharing your myeloma story, learned from other myeloma or cancer patients' and caregivers' stories, gained emotional support, learned about resources for cancer patients in your area, learned about treatment options, etc.
Third, please share below what you found helpful about the support group meetings you attended or why you felt they were not helpful to you.

Re: Weekly Poll - Caregivers And Helpfulness Of Support Grou
There are no support groups in my area. I really wish there were. I think it would be helpful.
