I haven't had a chance to research but my wife received an email update regarding this vaccine just today (this was the first I've heard of such a vaccine, she has leukemia and is on several LLS mailing distribution lists).

Here's the contents of the email: no groundbreaking info, but I'm just glad to know there's something in the works as someone with SMM and with a steadily decreasing red cell count which a source of the anemia cannot be determined, meaning it's possible myeloma cell marrow infiltration is the cause of the red cell production issues.

(Several workups in other areas have failed to provide etiology of the anemia. I'm currently undergoing a hormonal workup, as possibly low testosterone is causing low erythropoietin, which in turn may be the source of my anemia. I hope so, as we all know increasing anemia is the most common and reliable indicator of a transition of SMM to active multiple myeloma.)
