Terry1!!

I agree with Kate.

The lyrics are so uplifting to this song!!..can't tell you how many days I have felt like this! On my iPod it goes!!...to lift me when I feel low!

I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

I really enjoyed this part the part where they say:
"Calm the storms that drench my eyes
Dry the streams still flowing" ....FELT that.

LIFT ME UP..from where I am FALLING!!
YES!!

Lyrics:

But if I can't swim after forty days
and my mind is crushed by the thrashing waves
Lift me up so high that I cannot fall
Lift me up
Lift me up - when I'm falling
Lift me up - I'm weak and I'm dying
Lift me up - I need you to hold me
Lift me up - Keep me from drowning again

Downpour on my soul
Splashing in the ocean, I'm losing control
Dark sky all around
I can't feel my feet touching the ground

Calm the storms that drench my eyes
Dry the streams still flowing
Cast down all the waves of sin
And guilt that overthrow me

Lift me up - when I'm falling
Lift me up - I'm weak and I'm dying
Lift me up - I need you to hold me
Lift me up - Keep me from drowning again

Thanks everyone for all the lovely music, which is soothing and uplifting at the same time! I just ordered 'cristofori's dream' in 'easy to play' sheet music for piano, from an online website. (You order the sheet music and then just print it off on your computer's printer! It is inexpensive too!). Just a gorgeous tune, reminds me a bit of the 'pachelbel canon', another puzzler to try to play.

Hi suzierose,

Cristofori's Dream has long been a favorite of mine. Thanks for bringing it to everyone's attention.

Even though they are different in certain ways, Cristofori's Dream always makes me think of "L 'Enfant" from Vangelis, which you also may like:

It's a bit too electronic at times, but, once again, both somehow is both soothing and inspiring at the same time. The first half is probably the best part.

I first heard "L 'Enfant" it in a movie from the 1980s, The Year of Living Dangerously, with Sigourney Weaver and Mel Gibson. It's worth watching sometime if you get a chance.

And, yes, the piece from Holst could be longer. I never thought of that, but I agree. But it's still an all time fave.

As for drums, which you mentioned in your first posting in this thread ... Let's just say that we'll go there some other time in the thread. Absolutely LOVE powerful percussion!

- Boris.

Good Morning!

This is such a great thread! Cristophers Dream was beautiful!

Here's another one for ya. It's called "Good Morning" by Mandisa and Toby Mac.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4Sj6TmSG4w&feature=related

Ive only been diagnosed for a couple weeks and I don't have any symptoms so I feel fine. I'm sure there are others who can relate to this. Except for the occasional "woe is me" moment I feel amazing! Crazy isn't it? This mortality wake up call has made every sunrise awe inspiring, every bird singing an aria, every moment with family, joyous and I when my husband leaves his clothes on the floor, I happily pick them up....because I still can!

This song get's me out of bed every morning!

Hope it makes you want to wiggle.. :)

Hi,
This is a 93-part You Tube series of the Secret Garden. Unfortunately, some of them have obnoxious ads. I think I'll have to get the CD.

So far, I love what I have listened to.

I really like this thread. I see not much posting on it lately. I found some new music here. The Christofori's Dream was wonderful and I have, made it my bedtime lullaby. I have been having difficulties falling asleep. This is just what I needed to help clear my head. I hope to see this thread become active again. I don't have the link right now but try Whitney Houston's, "I didn't know my own strength". My sister with stage 4 breast cancer brought it to my attention.
