Re: MattSchtick's Stem Cell Transplant
Hi Anonymous,
I use an iPad some of the time. At first I could not get the videos to play. There is just a blank space where they are. But if I tap on the space enough times, I can usually get it to come up and play.
I hope that helps.

Anonymous,
It sounds you have the problem of an Apple device dealing with Youtube videos and Adobe Flash. Rather than turning this into a computer fixit forum, I'd suggest googling on "Ipad won't play youtube videos". Good luck.

Re: MattSchtick's Stem Cell Transplant
Thanks for letting us know about the potential issue with the videos, Anonymous. And thanks, Kim and Multibilly, for the suggested solutions.
If this continues to be a problem, let us know. We'll also work on putting in place a different way of embedding videos that does not require Flash That will make certain the videos can be viewed within the posting on just about any device (including those from Apple).

Me again, sorry I still can't see the videos.
I did tap lots of time like you said, Kim, and nothing. Multibilly, I have checked with my son in law, who is more computer savvy then me, and it is definitely not a problem with the ipad.
Hope there's a way I can watch them.

Re: MattSchtick's Stem Cell Transplant
Same experience that you describe viewing the videos on an iPad. Try a click where the video ought to be, and wait. Sometimes the sound track will play and the image will not appear until the very end. Other times the video will appear. When you are done watching, you may see that the other videos on the page have appeared while you have been watching Andy's story.
Steve jobs hated flash video and we all suffer for it still.

Re: MattSchtick's Stem Cell Transplant
We've tried an alternate way of displaying the videos in the posting for Andy's previous update,
https://myelomabeacon.org/forum/mattschtick-stem-cell-transplant-t3586-20.html#p20972
and for his latest update,
https://myelomabeacon.org/forum/mattschtick-stem-cell-transplant-t3586-30.html#p21200
For those of you who have been having problems viewing the videos with an Apple device such as an iPad, let us know if the videos at the above links work better than for Andy's earlier video updates (which have not yet been switched to the new way of displaying the videos).
Likewise, for those of you who have not had any problems with the videos thus far, please let us know if this new approach to putting the videos into forum posts still works for you.
(Once this is all cleared up, we'll move the postings in this thread related to the video problem to a separate thread of its own.)
Thanks!

Re: MattSchtick's Stem Cell Transplant
I am able to view the video now. I was unable to view the videos previously on my Kindle.
