Re: How long does it take for a multiple myeloma diagnosis?
kjpoppit I'm glad you are going to see a specialist. My experience form my disease and my sisters assures me that great strides are being made in treatments and I think a specialist is needed to insure you get the latest options.

Re: How long does it take for a multiple myeloma diagnosis?
I had two MRI's on my lower back and a hip x-ray.They showed nothing. The doctor missed any markers on my blood test. Finally an osteo-surgeon was perplexed with my symptoms and ordered an MRI on my upper spine. There it was, my bone marrow was damaged, and it all came together then. If he had not ordered that last MRI, they would never had caught it. This has dragged out over a period of two months.
