I also bruise easily on my hands and arms. My oncologist said it is due to the high doses of steroids that I took during the induction therapy. My understanding is that the layer of cushioning in the skin becomes thinned out in response to the steroid use.

I also bruise easily. I also have gotten the steroid/thinning explanation. Large bruise on my arms looks like I got hit by a baseball bat. I take Revlimid shots every two weeks.

Bruising is a classic symptom of amyloidosis. Amyloidosis occurs in about ~ 10-15% of multiple myeloma patients. Might be worth also discussing that possibility with your doctor.
