Cancer is not just one homogeneous disease. There are hundreds of types of cancer.. Cancer treatment is now very different than in the past as chemotherapy and "drugs" are tailored to unique components of individual cancer cell characteristics.

If a cure for myeloma is found the drug companies will still have plenty of other new drugs to research to find cures for the many other cancers that are still non-curable. There is no grand conspiracy between the hospitals and drug companies. Please don't bother posting statements such as this. It is untrue, and unwanted.

I don't know about that... I think there is more than enough data to formulate a fairly sustainable argument regarding the blocking and squelching of data and trials in treatment development if the patents are owned by an individual and not large pharmaceuticals or the government.

I generally believe that people are good - however, as consistently demonstrated by history both current and long past - when huge sums of money are involved, we do not generally make the appropriate and ethical choice. I think to believe otherwise not only contradicts evidence, but is an unwise wearing of the rose colored glasses of healthcare.
