First of all I want to thank anyone who takes time to offer suggestions and give advice on my current situation.
I am a 33 year old male. For the past year I have had several health related issues. Most recently I have had pain in my pelvis -feels like bone maybe muscles to. This has been going on for 6 months. The pain is not horrible but is persistent. I have also had pain in two spots off and on in my ribcage that have been acting up for months and months. Along with the pain I have felt generally fatigued. I have had x rays and blood work up (cbc) done recently that did not show anything abnormal except slightly elevated bilirubin 2.0 (normal 0-1.2). I had a CT scan done on pelvis and abdomen for some GI issues that also came back as unremarkable. I am scheduled to see a rheumatologist in 3 weeks to see if he can help me out.
I have a research/analyst background and tend to diagnose myself through the internet. I understand multiple myeloma can present in subtle ways and others times very aggressive. Can you give me your thoughts to see if you think this is something I should pursue or mention to my doctors?
Again I appreciate your time and advice. I sm trying not to have undo worry but sometimes your mind takes off on it own.
My heart goes out to the ones on here that are battling this disease. You all are in my prayers.

Re: Worries about multiple myeloma
Nothing from your CBC jumps out at me as a sign that you might have multiple myeloma. Did you have a urinealysis? Before I was diagnosed they found excess protein in my urine as part of normal annual check up. If that comes back nomal then it probably unlikely you have multiple myeloma. They can do more detailed blood tests to check for it but since everything else is not pointing to multiple myeloma I would not go though that expnese unless the urine test shows excess protein.

Re: Worries about multiple myeloma
Thanks Ron for replying,
I have not had a urinalysis done at this point. I am still having pain in my pelvic bones and lower back. I have also developed a new symptom of very sore hands and feet. Mostly sore hands... I am scheduled to see a rheumatologist on the 18th of July to see if he can fine out whats going on. I may request a urinalysis to be done at this appointment. I appreciate your insight. I have been feeling "off" for some time and most doctors look at me like I'm crazy.
