Ben
Yes I see a local Oncologist bi-monthly. You would go to NIH and have probably more blood tests than you have ever had at once :-). Then you have BMBx (it was my second and a piece of cake there) and a Consultation. They do follow up with you to review all your results. The follow up visits are at the six month mark and then at the yearly mark for a total of five years. So for example my initial visit was in Feb. 2012. I go back in August and then every Feb. for 4 more years. I was there for two days the original visit. But they say it can be done In one day for follow ups. I will have to see. It's pushing it with travel. I'm gonna try though. They will want to see some of your latest labs and from them they can get a good idea where you are at before you get there. Since I signed up for trial they gave me my reimbursements right then and there in Cash. Very Nice!
Good luck

One other thing. They have very good transportation to/from the Airports and local Hotels. And just to clarify they follow up with a phone call to review your test results.
Best Wishes

I too, will see Dr. Borello at Hopkins on May 9th. He came highly recommended from a researcher at University of Pennsylvania. I live in Lynchburg, VA.
