Hey all,
I recently had my first bone marrow biopsy / aspirate, and it seems like the report I received online seems is lacking in a lot of information that most of the biopsies reported from other users here have.
The report I have essentially says there's no immunophenotypic evidence of lymphoma, and that my blasts are not increased. The immunophenotypic findings claims that I have 2% B-cells, which are polytypic for kappa and lambda light chains, and that I have 12% T-cells with a CD4:CD8 ratio of 0.7:1. There was also an analysis of my granulocytes and monocytes.
This is all great news and all, but it's irrelevant data compared to the what I wanted to have the biopsy done in the first place. Shouldn't I have information about my plasma cells too? Any chance this will come on another report?
I know every hospital / doctor / lab is different. I have an appointment tomorrow with my oncologist / hematologist, and it'd be a shame if I came in with data that isn't relative to what I'm concerned with.
Thanks for any input!

Re: What information is reported on a bone marrow biopsy?
My bone marrow results trickled in over about 2 weeks, and for only some did I get alerts when they uploaded to my chart. Most of it was Greek to me.
Could it be that the rest of the results are in but aren't loaded to your chart yet?
