Has anyone had lesions on their skull? What did it feel like?
My husband has at least two on his skull and is feeling some aching that he can't really describe. He also has a large cyst in his brain but the neurosurgeon thinks it is congenital.
It will be checked for growth next month.

Re: What do skull lesions feel like?
Hi Joannem,
I do have lesions on my skull, and that was one of the most unnerving findings to me when I was newly diagnosed. However, they are not getting any larger, and do not hurt either! I get annual x-rays and they are checked that way. The presence of these lesions is a reminder to me as to why I am taking chemotherapy to keep the myeloma in check, though.

Re: What do skull lesions feel like?
Before my diagnosis, I remember feeling a sore spot on the back of my head when it was pressed against a hard surface. At first I thought that I had hit my head on something. But it didn't really go away. Once I learned that I had myeloma and that I had a lesion on that part of my skull, it made sense. After treatment the soreness is largely gone, although I occasionally feel "something," but I couldn't really call it pain.

Re: What do skull lesions feel like?
I had no symptoms from my skull lesions before or after diagnosis. They are not enlarging in almost 5 years either.
Did get bone and lesion pain elsewhere, particularly the hip. It was a localized ache not coming from the joints. It came and went, but was noticeable, although not to the point of using pain killers.
