My husband has had multiple myeloma for 4 years now. His doctor took him off Revlimid 5 months ago after he had been on it for 3 years. He is still on Velcade injections every other week after being on it a few years already. He has been breaking out with welts and rash throughout his body the last month or so.
His oncology doctor has no answer. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is not very effective at times.
I'm wondering if what is happening with the welts and rash is due to the Velcade, or if it can be a lingering effect of Revlimid, even months after stopping it.
Any feedback or perspectives on this would be appreciated. Thank you!

Re: Welts & rash (still on Velcade, 5 months since Revlimid)
Hello Cyesmont,
I am also 4 years since diagnosis. I was on 25 mg Revlimid and dexamethasone after my initial diagnosis. Everything was fine for several months, then the rash started. It covered 60 percent of my body. It never had any itching. Just welts / rash. I was taken off of Revlimid and it took a few weeks to clear up. I was given Revlimid, Velcade, and dexamethasone (RVD) a few months later, but the Revlimid was at 15 Mg. Never had the rash issue again.
