I tried Miralax, Senkot, Golytely, everything over the counter and prescription. None of it helped much. There was quite a number of times that I was given something for it and the nurses would say that I would be in the bath room in 5 minutes guaranteed. 30 minutes latter still nothing and they were a bit shocked.

Hi Nancy,
Apologies for delay, got a lot going on just now, he has been assessed by the mental health team and is deemed normal. I have taken him food in but this distresses him too much, so I have stopped doing this, even snacks he just pushed away.
He has had all the makes and varieties of high calorie drinks going, he just has a sip and that's it.
I have just been told by the doctor that something is bubbling up to do with his bloods they have changed and he thinks its his liver, what a blow, it's just one thing after another at the moment.
Thankyou for your good wishes.

Hi Gail, Thanks for your note. I am sure that I speak for all of this on this 'thread' when I say that we are wishing your husband all the best and hope that soon his health improves. At least he is in the hands of the medical profession and they can help him with his nutrition needs too, if he isn't able to eat on his own. Take good care of yourself too!
