For those of you with active multiple myeloma, were you first diagnosed with smoldering myeloma before your myeloma became active?

No, I never was diagnosed with smoldering myeloma. When I was diagnosed with myeloma, it already was active (not smoldering).

Yes, before I was diagnosed with active myeloma, I had been diagnosed with smoldering myeloma. Eventually, my myeloma progressed from smoldering to active.

Weekly Poll - What Was Your First Myeloma Diagnosis?

It's Wednesday, so it must be time for another Myeloma Beacon "Weekly Poll."

This week's question focuses on whether or not people with active myeloma were first diagnosed with smoldering myeloma.

A few clarifications:

First, this question is only for readers who have active multiple myeloma (that is, not smoldering myeloma, and not MGUS).

Second, if you are a caregiver or family member of someone who has active myeloma, feel free to answer on their behalf
