This week’s poll compares quality of life during maintenance therapy and drug-free periods. The results may be particularly interesting to those who are debating whether to go on maintenance therapy or to discontinue treatment during remission.
A few clarifications:
First, this poll is for myeloma patients who have been on maintenance therapy and who have also had drug-free periods (even if only brief periods). If you are a caregiver or family member of a myeloma patient who meets these criteria, feel free to answer on their behalf.
As always, feel free to post comments, thoughts, or feedback in the space below. They can be very useful to other readers. For instance, please describe how your quality of life differed during maintenance therapy and drug-free periods. For those of you who received maintenance therapy or had drug-free periods but not both, you're more than welcome to describe below your quality of life during that time period.
If interested in other polls about quality of life, we ran one last year that asked:
How does your current quality of life compare to your quality of life prior to your multiple myeloma symptoms and diagnosis?
