Re: Weekly Poll - Initial Myeloma Therapy - 2013
Hi Badblood, Like many people, I did have some side effects like fatigue. Still, I could work through treatment. I never had the Jekyll and Hyde transformation from the dex that people talk about. Thank God. I also had/have zero peripheral neuropathy. My blood counts are all in the optimal normal range now. While on the 8 months of CRD, I was the only one in my trial to have to use heparin, an anti-cogulant, because I had a pulmonary embolism when I progressed from SMM to active myeloma. They check my clotting numbers frequently. I had to take a belly shot daily of Fragmin....not fun, for sure, but not so bad. Now, I am on 81mg. aspirin daily. Good luck to you!
