This week’s question is about what you knew about monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) before you were diagnosed with it.
A few clarifications:
First, this question is intended for readers who have or had MGUS, as well as caregivers and relatives of those with MGUS. If you were first diagnosed with MGUS and have since progressed to smoldering or active myeloma, feel free to answer.
Second, if you are a caregiver or relative of someone with MGUS, please answer focusing on what *you* knew about MGUS at the time your relative or the person you care for was diagnosed with it.
Once you have answered the question above, feel free to add whatever comments you feel might be relevant in the discussion below.
