Weekly Poll - Current Kidney Function

by Beacon Staff on Wed Jun 05, 2013 5:21 pm

This week’s poll is about myeloma kidney disease, one of the common symptoms of multiple myeloma.

A few clarifications:

First, this poll is for anyone who has been diagnosed with symptomatic multiple myeloma. If you are a caregiver or family member of a myeloma patient, feel free to answer on their behalf.

Second, please answer whether you currently have kidney disease. We previously ran a poll about kidney disease at myeloma diagnosis:

As always, feel free to post comments, thoughts, or feedback in the space below. They can be very useful to other readers. In particular, if you have had kidney disease at any stage of your myeloma, others may find it helpful if you describe when you had kidney disease, whether you still have it, whether it required dialysis, whether you regained kidney function after your myeloma was treated, etc.

Not sure about degree of kidney damage but was just told it was mild ?? I have had swelling of lower extremities -legs -feet- and some swelling in upper legs & groin area , I urinate frequently but am not sure if that is related to my multiple myeloma or prostrate operation ? N.G.
