Is VRD / RVD common for standard-risk stage III myeloma?

Is this a normal initial treatment for standard risk, stage III? There is conflicting data on everything!

I am a 46 year, Stage III patient. My first treatment was Revlimid, Velcade (subq), and dex. I have since switched to CyBorD (Cytoxan, Velcade, Dex) because of the DVT risk. I think a lot of newly diagnosed patients start on Revlimid and Velcade. Hope this helps

There are many effective therapies for patients with standard risk stage III myeloma. One of the most effective therapies is the combination of Revlimid, Velcade and dexamethasone. And, yes, this treatment is commonly given for newly diagnosed patients.
