Velcade treatment with cold-like symptoms (no fever)?
Can you have Velcade if you have cold-like symptoms with no fever?

I believe that practice might vary a little from center to center.
First it would be appropriate to be sure that your team is aware of the symptoms. For each treatment, they will check the CBC and the metabolic panel. My understanding is that a low-level cold is not a problem as long as the required counts are within range. In fact, when on induction, my wife had near pneumonia, and was on antibiotics and Tylenol (acetaminophen / paracetamol) for fever control, and did not miss a scheduled treatment. The biggest concern was with the Tylenol – they don't want it to mask a fever, because Velcade can reduce white counts. But after tracking the counts, which were normally high to fight the infection, the treatment for the bad cold and the induction treatment both proceeded normally.
