Re: Velcade
I only know about the Velcade. My Dr. Is 150 miles from where I live. At my last visit I told her it was costing me $253.83 every time I went to get Velcade prior to my sct. I payed this twice a week. By the time I added gas and food it was costing me close to $300 per visit twice a week at another facilty that was only 90 miles away. Monthly, it was costing me $1800 out of pocket. She was shocked what the cost was. Now that I'm retired I have too watch what I spend and that is why she agreed to let me give myself the shots. I don't think the Drs. really know what it costs some of us for treatment. Once I spend $5k on medical, I pay nothing after that but $5k is a lot now that I'm retired. I have a great Dr. that works with me and listens to my bitching and does what's best for me, medically and financially. I'm blessed to have her.

Re: Velcade
I have long thought that it could be done this way The cost through the hospital is outrageous My son gets Velcade also and hates the long wait also I take Humira myself and it would be so easy for me to administer it to him So glad you found a way around this

Re: Velcade
I just found out last week that I can get a 90 supply of Velcade for $80 through my insurance pharmacy. This saves me $2000 vs using the crooks at my local hospitals. I've given myself blood thinner shots after my knee replacement. Velcade shot is no different.
