Velcade in pill form

Does anyone know approximately when the pill form of Velcade will be available? I'm on Revlimid maintenance and think it will be so much better to take a once-a-week Velcade pill

Armzak,

You are probably thinking of ixazomib (MLN9708). Note that it's not really accurate to call it the "pill form of Velcade". While it is in the proteasome inhibitor family (along with Velcade), it is actually a different drug and may invoke a different response than Velcade.

But I agree that an oral form of a proteasome inhibitor would be great to have.

Note that ixazomib was just recently granted FDA breakthrough therapy recognition for R/R amyloidosis treatment:
