64-year old with recent tests that look like those posted below. Never saw my blood work come back like this. How concerned should I be? I am extremely fearful.

Re: Urine test results - how concerned should I be?
PalmerDJ,
3561 mg of urinary protein in a 24-hour specimen is very high. Are you seeing a kidney specialist to evaluate your kidney function?
Nephrotic syndrome is a serious medical condition with different causes. A kidney biopsy was recommended by my myeloma specialist when the urinary protein kept climbing. It got to about 2300 mg per 24-hour in March 2015. The kidney biopsy results came back positive for renal amyloidosis.
Revlimid, Velcade, and dexamethasone for 5 months followed by a stem cell transplant October 16, 2015 brought the 24-hour urine protein down to 300 mg. Serum kappa light chains reduced from a high of 10,980 mg/L to 37.4 mg. The bone marrow neoplastic plasmacytosis also reduced from 80% to 5% after induction treatment and then autologous stem cell transplant.
This month I start maintenance Velcade subcutaneous every other week for 2 years. I returned to work last week and feel great.
Hopefully your urinary protein will come down soon.
Good luck.
Margo
