Hi WeatherNurse,

Dry eyes and mouth are signs of graft versus host disease (GVHD). I think that is likely a positive thing for you since you did your allo as a relapsed patient. If it is a side effect of a med you are taking, it would be difficult to pinpoint which one it is. I know from personal experience you have quite an extensive medicine chest after doing an allo transplant!

Good luck moving forward. You should feel VERY fortunate you were able to get back into some sort of remission to do the allo with relapsed plasma cell leukemia. I am a high-risk multiple myeloma patient and my doctor seriously doubted I would ever get back to CR again if I did not do my allo in first complete response (i.e., complete response after initial treatment following diagnosis).

Mark - I did not know that about dry eyes and dry mouth being a sign of GVHD. Thanks for the information.
