Typical IgG, IgA, and IgM levels at diagnosis?

by Conundrum One on Fri May 27, 2016 10:43 am

The more I try to understand, the more I get confused. As it was explained to me initially, along with CRAB symptoms, multiple myeloma was indicated by a high immunoglobulin, typically IgG. In my case, ALL of my immunoglobulins were low at diagnosis, but lambda light chains were high. So in addition to light chain multiple myeloma, I was diagnosed with hypogammaglobulinemia (somewhere they also came up with kidney stones and no one can show me why).

What are average or typical levels of immunoglobulins such as IgG, IgA, IgM at diagnosis (yes, I know there is no "typical" in multiple myeloma, but could not think of a better word)?

Okay, so I have started with an all around low immune system. It begs the question, did the low immune system cause the myeloma, or did the myeloma cause the low immune system?

Can anyone help shed some light on this?
