Interesting document on pubmed regarding SQP, a turmeric derived compound that has apparently been studied at MD Anderson. The second to last sentence is particularly interesting.

Of course this is very early pre-clinical in vitro and all the standard disclaimers and scepticism applies.

Great info! Do you take curcumin or turmeric?

Re: Turmeric derived compound (SQP) with anti-cancer propert
Hi Melissa!
Yes, I've been taking curcumin since shortly after I was diagnosed. I take 8 grams of Drs Best per day in two doses and 800mg of Myodyne (Longvida) in two doses also. The Longvida was just recently added.
So far I've tolerated it well.
Hope this helps. BN

M-
I've been in CR since my transplant 9/14 and have no real way of knowing if the Curcumin is helping keep me stay there, but it's definitely not hurting.
I will say that I notice more aches and pains if I miss a dose and with the Longvida I noticed that I have more mental clarity than before.
The only downside is the cost, but I'll keep taking it. How is your Mom doing with it? BN

Her energy is incredible! She really attributes it to her vitamin schedule and nutrition. So awesome!

That's good news Melissa! Can you share the brand and dose of curcumin?
