Karen,

Biggest thing is to stay positive, I was able to go outside and walk in the courtyards around the hospital, I would do this daily as often as I could, if I didn't feel like going outside, I would walk the hall way, just getting out of the room is a plus.

As far as food, I pretty much ate what I felt like, on good days, Frosted Mini wheats and crackers were great on the bad days.

As far as having vitals check there were evenings I slept though it.

4 basic things to remember, stay positive, get out of bed and walk as much or as little as you want depending on how you feel, eat something daily a cracker or more, and drink something keep fluids up. And finally keep that buzzer handy if you start to feel different hit that call button, get somethng to help you feel better.

Good Luck you'll do fine !!!

Jack
