Re: The new multiple myeloma definition - what do you think?

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I just think that I am stable...watch and wait is fine with me. My numbers go up and down like a yo yo....lately for the past three blood tests even though I am high they have come down..especially this past one but my ratio went up? still trying to figure that out...IGA is now 1661 down from 1891. I take 4grams of curcumin each am and 4 grams at night...I was taking it all at once but I got better results splitting it in two does. I guess hitting it twice a day was better than an atom bomb once a day for me. I do truely believe that curcumin has been helping me and keeping me "stable". Maybe it is a pipe dream maybe not. I have my appointment on Wednesday...will keep you informed
Did have my first infection in years a double ear infection and throat infection was at the internist yesterday and I am on a zpak now.

Is this definition only for smoldering myeloma requiring treatment or also for relapsed myeloma in a 'watch and wait' until it progresses state?

I am in the later. I'm fine with waiting until symptoms develop (CRAB). I know I have myeloma, and I am in no rush to go back in treatment, I'd rather stretch out my last (initial) round of treatment as long as I can before starting again. Since each sequential round is less effective is my understanding, delaying it makes sense to me as I'm still quite young for myeloma! Waiting for the newest treatments to be approved before I start treatment again seems to make sense.
