I have been following The Myeloma Beacon for a few mo's. now. Of increasing interest is the advice given by the various veterans of therapy.........especially Pat's Place. I am a physician that was determiined to have multiple myeloma in Jan. of 2010. It has come to a point now that treatment has been recommended (by a second opinion Oncologist). Once a new round of studies are completed They will begin. I want to thank every contributor to the MMBeacon for their sharing of experiences. I must admit that I have learned more from these statements than from the Oncologists themselves. I advise all to observe their words carefully. No 2 patients are ever alike primarily due to medical histories. MY ADVICE TO ALL IS TO CAREFULLY DETAIL YOUR OWN MEDICAL HISTORY WITH DATES, TREATMENTS AND RESULTS and submit it in writing to the physician of your choice. This is vital for your care and to avoid errors in therapy!!!
Good luck to all in my boat.Barry Doc
