Thanks!

I would like to thank everyone who posted on my threads. I was needing help convincing my Alma to try a treatment, such as Pomalyst, before it was too late. I sat her down to read the posts you guys made, and that convinced her to give Pom a try. You all have potentially saved her life and I thank you. She will get her first round today. I know this is not a cure, but it may help her survive long enough to try Duratumumab, which seems like the closest thing to a cure that I've read about. Thank you thank you thank you. :D

Well, Alma turned for the worst before she got to try the Pom. She left me peacefully and comfortably last Wednesday.

Thanks. When her Dad passed away from this in the 70s, his passing was awful I have heard. It wasn't so for my Alma. New advances in everything including comfort care really made it better for her. She held my hand and winked at me a few hrs before she departed. Thanks all of you on here for everything. I will still check in occasionally to see if there are any questions I can answer concerning what I've just dealt with. Roy

I am so sorry to hear this news, Roy, but I am comforted to hear that Alma did not experience too much or discomfort in her final hours.

I appreciate your letting us know what happened. I know this can't be an easy time for you, so it is so generous of you to update us.

We are all here and you are welcome to come back and let us know how you are doing and seek whatever support you need. We will do what we can.

TerryH
