My husband is now on Thalidomide and has been since Dec of 2009. What is the safe length of time one can be on this drug?

Hi Kim-

My husband has been on Thalomid for almost 3 years now. Currently as maintenance, as he has been in complete remission 19 months post transplant. We think that he'll be off of it this July (2 years post transplant).

He's had no problems other than finger cramps.

I'll be curious to hear what our resident experts have to say about this! Best of luck, kiddo.

:D I took Thalomid for two years and it drove my numbers done wonderfully. But I had to stop due to Neuropathy. If you don't have that you can take it a long time. Geraldine Ferraro, the politician has been on it for 10 years last I knew. You can visit her website and learn of her experience.
