Hello,
My mother is 60 and has been seeing the hematologist for a while. She's also the patient of gastroenterology and endocrinology, having a fatty liver and using medicine. She also has osteoporosis and uses medicine related to that.
Here are her blood and urine test results, I'll appreciate if you interpret them to tell if she has myeloma or another disease. Everything looks normal on her urine test. But I am worried.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Mother's test results - does she have myeloma?
First off, I'm not a doctor.
You really can't make a determination of multiple myeloma from just the lab tests you show here. But since there is an elevated IgG and light chains, it would seem like a smart thing to do would be to order the extra tests just to eliminate multiple myeloma as a possibility (they are cheap and easy to do). But be clear that fatty liver disease can affect immunoglobulin levels, so that may very well be the culprit. But only a doctor can really make that call.
