I have the 11:14 transformation on FISH (19 out of 200 cells) and also cytogenetics (1 out of 20 cells). I am post -ASCT and in CR.
Discussing the revised Mayo guidelines and treatment of the 11:14 transformation, Dr Vincent Rajkumar stated on this forum: "that trisomies respond extraordinarily well to Revlimid, while t(11:14) responds well to Revlimid, but not as well as trisomies do." Dr. Rajkumar bases his statement on data from a recent ASH meeting study done by his colleague, Dr. Shaji Kumar.
Is anybody familiar with the study? In talking about responding "well," is Dr. Rajkumar refer to induction therapy, maintenance therapy, or both? What is the specific disparity in response between t(11:14) and trisomies, especially in the maintenance context, and is there anywhere my doctor and I can access this information?

Re: t(11:14) cytogenetics and Revlimid response
Hello Chezchaz,
We believe this is the study that Dr. Rajkumar was referring to:

The poster with results of the study is available here:
