Re: Soon will be stopping treatment - anyone else done it?

Dr. Voorhees makes a good point, we all need to keep in mind we are individuals and our treatment will be according to our risk level. But I think we can still express our thoughts and hopes on our individual treatment and share that with other multiple myelomers, if for nothing else it lets us know we're not alone in the fight, and just maybe someone else has been there before us and has just a little good news for us who are just getting there.

By the way, I'm in the standard risk category

Thank you Dr Voorhees,

You are of course absolutely right. I guess that the majority of sufferers are just happy to hear good news about this illness and 'hope' is always an important factor which encourages us to continue the battle. Our main weapons for this battle are the exciting new treatments and the expertise of our medical professionals who decide how best to apply these treatments.

Kind regards to you all,

Ian Forsyth.
