Time for a transplant, or maintenance therapy?
What are the thoughts of proceeding with an autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) with a patient who has achieved minimal residual disease (MRD) negative status with Kyprolis and other novel drugs such as Pomalyst. Should maintenance be considered until relapse?
Re: Time for a transplant, or maintenance therapy?
Hi Spirit,
What treatments have you had so far and how did you respond to them? Also, did you have cytogenetic (chromosomal abnormality) testing done at diagnosis, and what did it show?
It's sort of hard to answer your question without a bit more context.

Hi Jonah, I relapsed after just a few months on RVD. My cytogentics look like alphabet soup including the dreaded del 17. But, if a patient is MRD neg status with chemo drugs, what could be gained by undergoing a ASCT?
