Finished induction therapy, which included 5 cycles of Revlimid, dexamethasone, and Velcade. Now it's time to harvest the stem cells. Because my M-spike leveled off at 0.45 g/dL (4.5 g/L) after induction, the doctor ordered high dosage of Cytoxan (cyclophosphamide) 10 days prior to harvest, and Neupogen shots 7 days prior.
Regarding the Cytoxan, I spent 14 hours in the hospital getting it dripped in as they mixed in the drip with hydration. Slow process, but not terrible. I wasn't happy about getting the Cytoxan because of the side effects involved, including hair loss. It's too early to see if I will lose my hair because it usually takes 10 plus days.
Regarding Neupogen shots to stimulate my cells for collection, I am getting 2 pre-measured shots a day because of my weight (250 lbs). I have some bone pain, but I also have shortness of breath. I assume it's the Neupogen because that's all I am taking at this time.
Anyone else have this side effect?

I too had bone pain while taking two shots of Neupogen daily. I was told the pain was my bones churning out the stem cells. Once harvested, the pain subsided quickly. It was a horrible pain in that it made me want to curl up, and even that didn't help. Ocycontin 5 mg helped though.

Claritin (loratadine; over the counter allergy med) has been shown to help with the bone pain caused by Neupogen shots.
