Still suggest you see a top hematologist...he might refer you to a top rheumatologist if lesions really are a std part of the spondylitis, but that way you have your bases covered.

Re: Some symptoms of myeloma - what to do next?
I don't remember the doctor ever mentioning anything about the light ratio or really any of that. Does that ratio stand out to you?
I think I did see an electrophoresis in the test results but they are in our sons room so I can't get them at the moment but I will check tomorrow. What does that normally indicate?
No one else has had any sign of any cancer, including myeloma, except the aunt it is just a strange coincidence that she is diagnosed with it and he had all this surrounding him not too long ago.
I believe they did check his parathyroid and thyroid because when we first started on this journey i was doing research and asked about that. He said they said it was all normal.
He recently started seeing a top rheumatologist so I'm confident in that treatment but we are located in the Houston area and went to MD Anderson for the treatments I mentioned previously, except the ER visit which started at a local hospital, UTMB.
Thanks again for the time everyone is spending helping!

I can't respond in regards to your test results. But I can give our experience. A tumour was discovered behind my boyfriends lung. Scan showed multiple lesions. Blood work showed perfectly healthy 46 year old. Everything pointed to myeloma but the blood and urine were negative. Diagnosis was based on the removal of the tumour and 2 ribs with lesions. These were biopsied and bone marrow was taken from his chest where the majority of lesions were confirmed myeloma. So the blood test is not always accurate . That being said as the oncologist was trying to pin point what form of cancer he had we were told many diseases can cause these bone lesions. If it was me I would definitely push for more tests completed by a cancer specialist.

Re: Some symptoms of myeloma - what to do next?
The Lambda freelite chain is just marginally high and the ratio is normal. I honestly don't know if that is any reason for suspicion given the Lambda is just borderline high. You already mentioned the serum protein electrophoresis results as showing no M-Spike. And then you have the negative bone marrow biopsy and negative lesion biopsy.
MD Anderson is a top shelf place with top myeloma experts. So if you are hooked in with their myeloma/lymphoma department and there is any vague possibility of myeloma being involved, you are in good hands.
But it potentially sounds like much of this may be due to the spondylitis?
Good luck tracking this down.
