Smoldering myeloma was a highlighted topic at the recently concluded ASH meeting. I would love to hear from those with smoldering myeloma who are actively in or recently completed a clinical trial (or if you are considering a trial).
Which trial ? Side/adverse effects? How was it determined you were high risk smoldering What criteria did you meet to enroll in the trial? I am SMM and researching my options. For those still researching, which trials are you considering ?
Thanks so much to all who respond and share !
All the best,
Dana H.

Re: Any smoldering patients enrolled in clinical trials?
Dana - You probably already know this, but in case you don't -- and to help others who may be interested in the information -- we'll note that you can view a list of currently open clinical trials for smoldering myeloma patients at clinicaltrials.gov.
This link will take you to a regularly updated list of those trials.
Good luck!

Thanks so much Beacon Staff for providing this link. Very helpful !
Thanks for the great ASH coverage of SMM. The thoughts about early treatment potential continues to evolve and I so appreciate your role in disseminating it for us !
Hoping to also get some feedback from folks enrolled, always good to consider others personal perspectives as well.

Re: Any smoldering patients enrolled in clinical trials?
I am also researching my options as an almost HR SMM. If I opt for treatment, it looks like the most popular options are: Rev-dex (Spanish study), Vel-Rev-dex (as in multiple myeloma), or to try for the NCI trial with Carf-Rev-dex.
But then there's still the watch and wait option, especially with possible novel agents in the pipeline. Maybe we'll be able to keep on smoldering?!? Best to you.
