Side & hip pain during treatment - what's the cause?

by Floater on Sun Jan 07, 2018 2:44 am

I've been taking Zometa as well as Revlimid for about 5 months. I am also on daily medications for myeloma.

I have been experiencing pain in my side and hip. I have taken so many tests and they all come back negative. My doctor can't say why I have this pain. Sometimes it is worse than other times.

What could be contributing this pain? Could my infusion and Revlimid be a factor? What options do I have?

I do have some arthritis in my side.

A small percentage of people who get Zometa infusions have significant to serious bone pain. In my case, the pain after my first and only Zometa infusion was so severe that I could barely walk. If the pain is worse shortly after your Zometa infusions, that may be the cause.
