I also had problems after my auto transplant in June 2018. I had an endoscopy done, and they think I have auto graft-versus-host-disease (GVHD) and put me on prednisone, which so far seems to have helped. I have been on it for only 5 days, and will be on my dosage for another 5 days, and then taper off for 4 weeks. I hate steroids, but I hate the diarrhea and other problems I have been having.
This is my first post here, but I have gotten a lot of valuable information from this site! Thank you!

Re: GI problems after stem cell transplant - what to do?
For two years I have been lucky, Revlimid did not give me gut problems, but then things changed. There are a couple of remedies that now help with the problem, and they are both natural.
The first one is probiotics, which are live bacteria and yeasts that are good for the body. You can find them in yogurts or buy them at a drug store.
The second one is the classic “grandma’s remedy” in my country and it works even better. To obtain it you cook rice, that must be Italian rice because it contains a lot of starch. It can be found online or in many specialist stores in foreign countries. To cook the rice you need 3 cups of water per cup of rice and to add a little pinch of salt, better if coarse salt. When it is ready, after 20 minutes, drain it but keep the water (acqua di riso) and after it cools, drink it. It is a pleasant drink, not like a medicine. After a few hours the gut will be much calmer and the effect of it lasts a full day. You can eat the rice with butter and parmesan, or with any sauce, just like you do with pasta, and it keeps in the fridge for a couple of days.
Buon appetito and buon relief from G.I. problems!
