"Scattered foci of FDG avidity" - what's that mean?

by rtucker1 on Wed May 30, 2018 6:31 pm

Hi,

Rick here. I am in stage three multiple myeloma. TP53 deletion. Just received results from my latest PET. Not sure what it means.

"Multiple new scattered foci of FDG avidity throughout the liver, concerning for metastases".

Does this mean there is myeloma in the liver now?

Thanks!
