4 years after 2 stems cell transplants, M-spike is starting to climb. It was stable at 0.2-0.3 for 3.5 years, last month jumped to 0.7, this month to 0,8.
But all other indicators (IgG and "the ratio") all are normal.
Any clues? I looked through a lot of other posts, and some seem close to my question, but not the same.
Had a bone marrow biopsy (BMB) last week and am waiting on results. Scheduling a PET scan soon.
Since Revlimid, Velcade, Cytoxan and VD-PACE didn't do much for me, but the melphalan of the stem cell transplants did a lot of good for me, I'm very concerned about being one of those that goes along with minimal disease, then crashes quickly as some of those graphs have shown.
Talked about possibility of doing 3rd stem cell transplant and add some of the new chemistry to it?
I've been living fairly normally for a few years, so am not up to date (and have forgotten) a lot of the jargon. But I think I'm back to being a more regular visitor here.
Oh God ... can't believe I'm back here! Oh well. 6 years post diagnosis, so shouldn't complain too much.
But any input on my rising M-spike with other blood markers being normal, would be appreciated.

Re: Rising M-spike but all else normal
Stann,
You say your free light chain (FLC) ratio is normal, but what have the individual lambda and kappa numbers been doing as the M-spike climbed? The FLC ratio isn't always the end-all-be-all measurement of FLC values. Have you graphed the M-spike, lambda FLC, kappa FLC, and FLC ratio over time?
