Rise in kappa chains with change to prednisone

My mom changed from dex with RVD [Revlimid, Velcade, and dex] to prednisone every other day. For the past year, her kappa chains have been around 9-10. This month with that change only they jumped to almost 16. I know this is still in the normal range, but should we be concerned?
