Revlimid, vasculitis, Henoch Schoenlein Purpura, etc.

HI are there others with acquired vasculitis, Henoch-Schoenlein purpura etc.? How did it resolve, treatment etc? I have read so much and so little seems to be known.

I'm on 15 mg Revlimid x21 and 20mg dexamethasone once weekly. On the 15th of December 2013, I noticed a red rash starting on my lower legs up to the knees, which eventually progressed (less in quantity) up to my trunk. It seemed to loose color pretty good by the 24th and I hoped it would come to an end but it showed itself with a vengeance the next day, Xmas, with. dark blood blotches etc. Totally red under the skin from the ankles to almost the knees and very very painful. I could barely walk, then a walker helped somewhat on the 27th and 28th and today I can walk with a cane.

I am IgG Kappa, had 7300 IgG and now at 3000, Mspike was 4.6, now 2.2
Here are the symptoms I have/had up to now:
Red rash, tightness in calf and the back of both legs up to the knee; arthritis like pain in my ankles, knees and wrist as well as elbows, BP went from 120 to 151 (platelets didn't go down!) and since the 25th swelling of the legs.

My daughter had Henoch Schoenlein when she was a child (she does not have multiple myeloma). I remember that it can cause kidney damage. Whenever you have some weird rash you should be having your doctor check it out. You could be having a bad reaction to one of the meds you are on.

HI Rumnting,
I did have my primary, the Onc and the ER check it and didn't get much feed back. Especially the ER kept insisting it's mostly a children's disease. Not so, when you check a lot of internet sites and see how many "not children" are diagnosed with it and see the patient's input on forum's and message boards.

I know it can be med related, the oncologist seemed to dismiss that and that's why I posted this here. I know of a couple of cases who had it prior to multiple myeloma diagnosis. I also have read that purpura can be a Revlimid side effect (Can. Revlimid prescription info and U.S. one calls it obviously a dangerous rash.)So, I am still hoping to hear from some other members, like I said, I can give more details but didn't want to make the post too long.
