Re: Revlimid maintenance or no maintenance?

Dnalex - I have Kaiser. The transplant doctor would be the closest thing they have to a "specialist", although they assure me at my hematology/oncology office that they have treated many, many myeloma patients. I could go to another "outside" doctor for their opinion at my own expense, but would their opinion satisfy the question sufficiently?

Eric - I appreciate your post because as I recall, you had the same transplant doctor that I had. I personally have a difficult time understanding him and I'm under-impressed with him when I'm there, but I'm ultimately going to be released to my regular oncologist and he is willing to go along with my wishes. His most recent comment on the subject was the doctors are split 60/40 in favor of Revlimid maintenance. Sounds about right to me.

I am leaning towards being in favor of Rev maintenance and seeing how it goes. More comments would be appreciated.

You probably should see if you can find more on the difference, if any, between the 60 and the 40.
