Re: Reversible vs. irreversible proteasome inhibitors?

by PattyB on Sat Jun 27, 2015 1:03 pm

Eric - Thank you for the question and JimNY thank you for the reply. I was wondering about the difference in the proteasome inhibitors (PI) myself. My husband had been on Revlimid and Velcade (bortezomib) but was just switched to Krypolis (carfilzomib, an irreversible PI) (with the Revlimid and back on the dexamethasone). There has been a lot in the Beacon about the favorable results of clinical trials with Krypolis, especially the ASPIRE and ENDEAVOR trials.
